Greetings!
We are delighted to welcome you to Lamgong Higher Secondary School, a model school that provides wholesome education to our students. Our school was founded in 1983 by the Royal Government of Bhutan and the generous support of the Lamgong community. We are located in Lamgong Gewog in Paro Dzongkhag, just two kilometers away from Kyichu Lhakhang, opposite to Lamgong Gewog Administration office.
We began as a Primary School with 150 students and 7 teachers. Over the years, we have grown steadily—becoming a Lower Secondary School in 2000, a Middle Secondary School in 2010, and finally a Higher Secondary School in 2022, now offering classes from PP to XII. Today, we proudly serve over a thousand students with a dedicated team of more than 80 staff members. Our Primary classes (PP–VI) are equipped with smart TV screens and whiteboards, while most Secondary classrooms feature projectors to enhance the learning experience.
As the Principal of Lamgong Higher Secondary School, I am honored to lead the school into this new phase. Our vision is to “Be a model school by imparting wholesome education at all times,” and our mission is to “Strive towards achieving excellence in holistic development and producing responsible citizens who preserve and promote the identity and sovereignty of the nation.”
To realize our vision and mission, we are excited to launch this website as a platform to connect with students, parents, and teachers as one LHSS family. This website will also help us embrace 21st-century skills and technologies, which are essential for our students and educators to thrive in today’s digital world.
